Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-08-07

Reclaim stores your ledger on your device and uses a secure receipt-reading service to extract details from images you capture or import.

What stays on your device

All of this is stored locally on your iPhone and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your private iCloud container. When automatic reading is enabled, a metadata-stripped copy of the receipt image is sent securely for extraction and discarded after processing. Receipt images and extracted fields are not retained by the service.

No account required

Reclaim does not ask you to sign up, log in, or link an email address to use the app. To prevent abuse and maintain online-reading allowances, the service keeps a pseudonymous identifier derived from Apple's app transaction identifier, App Attest security material, your entitlement and remaining reads, request identifiers, and coarse request times. These records cannot be used to read your receipt ledger.

No analytics, no tracking, no ads

Reclaim does not include advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs and does not show ads. The online service may record aggregate operational counts, status, latency, and cost to keep it reliable. Operational logs must not contain receipt images or extracted fields.

Purchases

The permanent core unlock and optional online-reading subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The service verifies Apple-signed entitlement information only to grant the correct reading allowance. Refunds, renewals, cancellations, and payment receipts are handled by Apple under its policies.

Exporting your data

Exporting — as a PDF, a spreadsheet, or a ZIP of the original images — is part of the permanent core unlock, and it uses the standard iOS share sheet: the file goes wherever you send it, and never through us.

Nothing you enter is ever deleted or locked away. Every receipt, report and payment stays readable in the app on your own device, whether or not you ever pay.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated and the new version posted at this same address.
